Most of the plans on HomePlanHQ sit in the modern, mid-century and lake-house range. The Sater Design Collection covers the part of the market we haven't: large luxury homes, coastal and beach houses, and Florida and Mediterranean designs.

The collection is the pre-drawn plan business of Dan F. Sater II, a Certified Professional Building Designer and a past national president of the American Institute of Building Design. According to the company, Sater has run a custom home design practice since 1984, founded the Sater Design Collection in 1994, and has sold pre-drawn plans online since 1996. The firm is based in North Fort Myers, Florida.
